Celebrating 516 Years of Hispanic Heritage
De Colores is an all-volunteer organization that celebrates Hispanic Heritage Month by offering a series of events on the UNM campus from September 15 - October 15.
Mission
The mission of the De Colores "Hispanic Culture Festival" is to showcase, promote and develop the best of Hispanic art, music, dance, literature and leadership.

This year the Awards Banquet will take place on Friday, October 10, 2008 beginning at 6pm, at the Albuquerque Airport Grand Hotel, 2910 Yale SE, (formerly the Wyndham Hotel). During this ceremony, the festival organizers and the community will pay tribute to the achievements and leadership of the award recipients. This year, Sparx and Lorenzo Antonio will be presented with the humanitarian award for their contributions to New Mexico students through their annual scholarship concert. The banquet will also include a book signing by Latino authors. The awards ceremony will conclude with a celebration dance featuring New Mexican musician Tobias Renee.
