Jennifer Gomez-Chávez

MA, Director, TITLE-V

Jennifer moves over from Director of the College Enrichment Program to TITLE-V. She is a graduate of the University of New Mexico where she earned her BA in Criminal Justice and MA in Counseling. In her spare time, Jennifer is actively involved in various University and community projects.

MA, Program Specialist, MAPS

Henry, "El Viejo", is a graduate of Northern Arizona University and Webster University. He is a former high school and community college teacher and is also a retired Naval Officer. Henry and his wife Amanda have a ranch near Tajique, NM.

Armando Bustamante

Program Specialist, Student Engagement

Armando graduated from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, (UNL), with a BS in Secondary Education. He lived in Nebraska 21 years prior to moving to New Mexico in 2006. Prior to becoming part of the TITLE V team, Armando worked as an Education Specialist with the Upward Bound and Upward Bound Math/Science Program at UNL for 3 and a half years.

Davina Galbiso

TITLE-V Administrative Assistant II

Davina is originally from El Centro, California and has been in Albuquerque for the past 7 years. She is pursuing a degree in Nutrition and Dietetics with a special interest in Pediatric Diabetes Education. Davina enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, and outdoor activities.


Alejandro Barraza, Student Assistant
Alejandro is from Albuquerque and graduated from Highland High School. He is in his junior year and working towards a major in Spanish. Along with foreign languages, he is also interested in motor sports drift racing. He is currently studying Portuguese and speaks Spanish and English fluently.

Antonio M. Barreras, Graduate Assistant, Student Engagement, Mentoring
Antonio was born in Kansas City, MO and grew up here in Albuquerque. He is a graduate of West Mesa High School and graduated this past May from UNM with a BA in Criminology & English. Antonio is currently pursuing a MA in Public Administration but is not quite sure what he want to be when he grows up just yet.

Brittney Sanchez, Student Assistant
Brittney is an Albuquerque native and a graduate of Albuquerque High School. She is in her third year studying to be a Physician Assistant. Her hobbies include swimming and having fun with her dog Charlie.

Shannon Kinkead, Student Assistant Web Programmer
Shannon is a native of Los Alamos, New Mexico. She is currently a senior at UNM, persuing a dual degree in Computer Science and Psychology. She hopes to attend medical school after graduation. Shannon enjoys coaching swimming and water polo, and dancing in her free time.

Leah V. Caruso, Graduate Assistant, Student Engagement, Supplemental Instruction
Leah received her Bachelor of Fine Art, BFA, from UNM. She is currently pursuing a MA in Art Education. Leah wants to teach high school or college-level art. She is also working on a new body of art work for a book.

Neolia Hein, Student Assistant
Neolia is an Albuquerque native. She graduated from Amy Biehl High School and is currently claiming Political Science as her major. She enjoys vivid doodling, various forms of story-telling and exploring natural wonders.

Samantha Luna, Student Assistant
Sami is currently a sophomore working towards a degree in Spanish. She ventured to the Burque, (Albuquerque), when she was sixteen from Los Angeles. Samantha enjoys long walks on the beach and her one wish for this earth is for world peace.
